check the brushes that hold the target in place. Also check the height of the arm that is giving you problems. the arm needs to contact the bird above the bottom rim if the arm sets similar to a promatic. you may also want to check if the arm is bent. this too will affect the launched bird. I do believe that the plate that the bird rides on can also be adjusted carefully. You cn facilitate this by removing the turrent. A little double face tape where the bird drops if front of the arm may also be a fix. You said that you replace the teflon on the arm. Hope this helps.
