Why do I not see cheek pieces on shotguns? Seems like an adjustable cheek piece would be useful.

It's my opinion, but I think that a cheek piece on the comb of a shotgun, especially one with nice wood, just looks out of place. That said, the German firms, such as JP Sauer & Sohns, really knew how to use them to tame the chop to the chops that most shotguns deliver. The recoil to the face is spread over a lot more area.

I am not referring to a "comb". A "cheek piece" is much different. I see them on rifles but do not see them on shotguns. The URL below has some examples of cheek pieces.

There was a time when I could not imagine me shooting anything but a M 12 with a roll over cheek piece. Things change. Cheek pieces are now out of style and making an adjustable comb from a roll over stock would be very difficult.
