What are the pros and cons of a high stock where your cheek is on the side of the stock verses your cheek on top of the stock?

It depends upon the shape of your face etc... if you can get the eye you want looking down the center of the rib properly and without rolling your head over, just putting it alongside the comb, then fine shoot with it alongside the comb.

With that said however, the majority of people I've seen, have to put the comb under their cheekbone to get the eye the're using, looking down the barrel properly.

If you're not looking down the rib, you're not centered on the gun and you're going to miss targets.
