Has anyone converted a barrel to threaded chokes, if so how did it work out and who did you have do the work?

Yes

Have done it on several barrels.

Worked great.

I had Carlson's do it, but Briley and a number of others do it as well.

The prices are about the same, (or at least they were at the time I did it maybe 10 years ago), but when I had it done, Carlson's was a lot faster turn around.

I had Briley do 2 of my Model 12s within the past year. As usual they did a great job and with each gun, I had the gun back in my hands within 7 days.

Briley uses square threads, much stronger for the thin chokes than a "V" cut. Great job on my Winchester Super X-1. Fast turnaround, fair price. Comes with three flush chokes of your choice or you can pay $30 each for extended choke tubes. Regards, Bob

Mike Orlen
Was able to thread an SKB O/U with full wall chokes that Briley said could not be done
Excellent work and fast turn around.

This guy! Mike did a 410 pump for my son, was only about $125 total, and included two choke tubes! Made it worth doing on a $300 pump gun.

He usually has a pricelist on SGW.
