If you are looking for a take-down style case without the price or weight of an Americase. Take a look at the Warwick. I don't know what they cost today, but I paid 125.00 for mine in 1998 at the same time I bought my 11-87 trap. Here's what a Warwick looks like.

Too bad about Warwick. Maybe I'll try to hunt one down though. It's surprising what you can find in the trading section of this forum. I may have even found a true Remington case!

Thanks for all the help, guys. I spent a ton of time searching the web, but one post to the trading section of this forum and 4 days later I've got one in the mail.

You guys are great.

This is what the green Remington case looks like. There is room for a spare barrel (I have a second barrel for sporting clays), choke tubes, and other small items. It's designed to fit monte carlo stocks and will accept adjustable combs provided they are not too high.

Drawback is lack of padding. On the other hand, the lack of padding means no material that will absorb moisture, promoting rust. The case is quite sturdy.

This is the kind of case that will survive and protect the gun in the back of a jeep. You may want something a little less utilitarian, but you're going to have to spend a lot more to match the ruggedness.
Brian are any of these cases for sale. If so how much. Thanks

This case will not fit a 1100 Comp Synthetic. The receiver will not fit. It's to long.

Take in to consideration how much extra room the pocket for the receiver/stock has. I it fits like a “glove” then you add a adjustable butt plate, an adjustable comb or just a bigger recoil pad. It may not fit.

Well, at least on topic is an older 1100 Trap in the G3 case :)
