If you scroll to the 32:00 mark the voice over guy says something like"very few people have ever seen an elk in the Bohemian Forrest." I think I know why. Isn't that a moose?

I think I answered my own question. Goolged elk or moose and got this:

The animal Alces alces is known as Moose in North America but Elk in Europe.

Well.. what do they call an Elk?

All that education and fancy British accent and doesn't know what a Moose is? What an idiot. But, that's what they call Moose over there.

Yup Moose in Europe are Elk. That's why a lot of US bio's call our elk Wapiti from their Latin name. They also call Caribou "raindeer" in Europe. N America is the only place that has Wapiti, Europe have Stag which have also been planted in S American and New Zealand.
