My understanding is that the noose in the door pull of Bubba Wallace's garage has been determined to be old and put into the garage pull cord before the NASCAR garage was assigned to Bubba.

When I was in Boy Scouts in the 1950's, many of the scout troops in the Old Kentucky Home Council attended an annual Scout-O-Rama at the Kentucky fairgrounds. Inside of the massive building, many scout troops had displays of tents, rope ladders, rope bridges and all manner of scouting items.

One of the booths featured surplus army rope bundles, each containing 25 10 yard lengths of O.D. Army nylon and cotton blend ropes for about $2. Many of the scouts in our troop bought bundles and started practicing making knots like bowlines, sheet bends, clove hitches, etc. Of course, a hangman style noose was made by many scouts.

It is discouraged in our school system but students sometimes play the "hangman" word guessing game and draw a gallows and noose on the white boards. I have seen nooses braided into the pull cords of window shades and pulled these apart. It is, IMO just a stupid thing that some kids do and is not meant to be a racial slur.

For the record, nooses are not good and are a bad symbol.

Through all this BS has anybody seen a picture of the "noose"? From a distance it looks like nothing more than an overhand knot after making a loop at the end of the rope.

It took some hunting, but I found an alleged picture of a nascar garage with a noose pull cord.

I see noose and I think "Hang 'em High." I see Clint Eastwood and a bunch of other white guys, I am not going to relinquish the noose to BLM culture wars.

I don't think NASCAR wants fan's in the stands the remainder of the season. The Boo's for "BUBBY" and Stars and Bars Flags will put them in a very difficult spot. Changing the HISTORY of NASCAR is not one 30%-50% of the butt's in the stands will not tolerate.

Anyone who can tie a noose knows a couple interesting things about that knot.
They also know how lousy of a choice it is for pull handle on a garage door
1 - It will tighten around your fingers when pulling from the loop.
2- it will untie itself when pulling from the coil.

Not that Ive ever tied one, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Alabama

It wasn't a hangman's noose, it was a rope cord tied with a loop at the end to form a hand hold.

Same concept that is at the end of my dog's leash. But, the dog is mostly white, so it's not offensive. Not sure what the guys with Black Labs do, probably not allowed to leash them anyway, brings back memories of the blacks being chained by whites.

    Total BS!!
They had all seen them in the garages for years.
    Manufactured outrage .
Then Bubba Wallace called the pictures "photoshopped".
He is just another in a long line of racebaiters.
And all of NAPCAR and the public went along with it. = Sheep

Yes, we know it was a pull cord loop. But it had a loop and some coils above the loop.my dog leashes are split and braided to make a loop, no coils. A hangman's noose wouldnt be a good pull cord. Anyone know how it was tied so that it would not function as a slip not? Maybe it was glued or something so that it wouldnt be a slip not and would function like a bowline? Can you trap the end loop in the first coil to keep it from slipping but look like a noose?
