Just mailed a BT 99 Golden Clays back to factory to repair split forearm. The center screw sheared off and split the back of the wood at the rear latch.

Went to a new Fed-Ex Kinkos store to mail and was first told they would not mail it to the service center. The young lady with the stud ring in her tongue ( my wife noticed it, not me ) said it was a safety hazard to mail. After several phone calls to her office, they decided to ship it.

Next day delivery cost me $125.10.

Anyone out there had a similar experience with a BT 99? This is the second time I have seen this.

Thanks,

Same problem for a shooter at my gun club...the wood is highly figured and looks great but at the broken area the grain had no length to it and it seemed overly dry

Get a commercial Fed Ex account, and use the Hub, not a Kiosk at a store. The account costs nothing, and they will bill your credit card. I save about 20%, and no hassles.

Third day ground is plenty fast.
