Was at a shooting club today and saw a BT-99 that had some inlaid gold plates on the receiver. One side had: World Shooting Complex Sparta IL. The other side had: IDNR inside the outline of Illinois. The bottom had a gold plate that had: no. 18 of 35.

Can anyone tell me anymore about this gun. Apparently there were only 35 made?
It looks to have upgraded wood, gloss finish, straight trap stock, some minor engraving. They want $1900 NIB. Seems a little high to me. Thanks for any info.

If i'm not mistaken they were auctioned or given away via drawing around the first Grand at Sparta. I believe the others were made to be sold on a first come first serve basis. I know there were some made for that purpose anyway.---Matt

My Rockford Gander Mtn. had one of those for a while. It sat for a while because it was quite a bit more than a regular BT 99.
