My son currently has an A500R which he likes,uses for duck hunting and recently had reblued. After the reblue the gun will not reliably cycle....any suggestions?

He is also looking at an A 5. Are these suitable for steel shot?
did the salt wood issue extend to A 5s?

No salt wood as far as I know. As for steel I would buy a Belgum(sp) gun and then buy a Jap barrel that has the choke tubes and can take steel sheels. and or just buy a Jap made gun and then you should have a barrel that can take steel. The Belgum guns are much better gun as far as I'm concerned.

I have a Japan A5 that I have put a couple of cases of steel thru. No problems at all. The gun is for sale if you are interested, I haven't duck hunted in a couple of years and it just sits in the safe.
