It appears the OEM sears were not hardened/tempered. The sears show wear that should not be present considering the age and number of rounds through the gun. I thought of hardening them myself but I don't know what kind of steel they are made of. Anyone try hardening and tempering Browning sears?

They are most likely controlled parts, and will have to be ordered by a FFL (most manufacturers won't sell fire control parts directly to consumers).
