apwcogan offers it but in a matte finish only. Black nickle might be another option. I seem to remember there used to be talk about this way back when guys started to two tone .45`s as it would stand up better than blueing.

CZ black chromes it's bbls...........at least my "TARGET" is. I much prefer the luster/richness of deep blueing.............

Did SKB use black chrome on their receiver at one time?

Yes they did Steve w and rick. The bbl and receivers of most of the older model (ITHACA) SKB's o/u were black chromed in a mat type of finish, not a high gloss. The autoloaders bbl.'s were also black chrome and the bores of all SKB's were regular chromed as well. This stuff seemed to wear like iron and of course, did not rust. The finish was not a deep or high gloss but I am sure it can be done that way.......BUD

The Century Trap made by SKB for Ithaca had black chromed barrels. That is partially why they discontinued thyem, b/c of the extremely dirty process of making black chrome. These were made in Japan back in the mid-70s.
