Missouri Fall Handicap.

For all the right reasons:

Great targets

Great Management

Friendly People

Great Location (Lake of the Ozarks)

Lots of prizes, added money and option money given back to shooters

After shooting some local shoots, you should consider:

Iowa State Shoot

Wisconsin State Shoot

Minnesota State Shoot

Illinois State Shoot

Missouri State Shoot

Central Zone Shoot

Grand American

Heartland Grand

After many yrs. of shooting and going to some big shoots,I like shooting at my local clubs and comming home sleeping in my own bed. I still like the Ohio st. and going to the Grand.
Bosco's Gun Club at Lancaster Missouri. That's just south of the Iowa/Missouri border. I haven't looked at where Dubuque is located in relation to Lancaster, MO.

Bosco runs a good shoot and has excellent food. He shoots every Saturday and I think his first registered shoot for this year will be April 28th.

Ohio's 3 shoots are big (some of the biggest) and well run. Hard to beat 50 plus acres of campers and easy access to the trap fields with shopping, rooms, dining, and entertainment minutes away.

Check Cardinal Campground on the web.
I love the southern grand although about a 12 hour drive i try to go if possible and absolutely go to the Grand American facilities are awesome.
I agree 100% with mette56, the Missouri Fall Handicap is wonderful. I would add the Grand, because it is the Grand! Martinpicker
Remington Man,

I'm not sure what you consider close but the Owatonna Gun Club in Hope MN is

about 250 miles from you and we will holding our 16th Annual Cabela shoot

June 6th,7th,8th and 9th. We have added a extra day this year and have avg 150

participants per day in the past. Send me your email address and I will send a

program when they are printed. We have limited camping on site and local

motels in Owatonna about 10 miles away. Along with the shoot we have shooters

supper on Saturday night free to the shooters and in the past have had Cabela's

offer employee discount the days of the shoot with ATA hard card. Cabela store

about 13 miles north of club.

Hey Rem, Clinton County Sportsman's club in Dewitt, Ia is a very nice place to shoot, website is http//www.ccsportsman.com. Otter Creek in Cedar Rapids has many popular shoots, www.ottercreeksc.com. Cedar Falls gun club @ www.cedarfallsgunclub.com, Stockdale Gun Club at Ackley, Ia @ www.stockdalegunclub.com. These clubs host weekend events consisting of State zone shoots, The Iowa state shoot, The Heartland satellite Grand American & many other well run & attended ATA events. Check out their websites. Several Dubuque shooters attend these clubs.
I've always wanted to go the Alaska state shoot. Other than that, the Southern Grand at the Silver Dollar, or maybe the Cardinal Center. Of course the Grand in Sparta is on my list.
Vandalia will live in my heart forever but Mason Michigan runs a close second
Any of the many shoots at KCTA, Smithville, MO, The Iowa State Shoot, The MO State shoot & the MO Fall Handicap, & of course the best of all is the Grand at Sparta.
The June shoot @ Vernal is a great time also, they roll out the red carpet there for shooters. We have also shot at Owatonna, great place and great people. Scott
