im out of reloads and have a shoot coming up in a week or so and dont wanna reload! what would you get for a factory shell thats gonna be around 1150-1180ish that you can rely on to smoke targets with out having a bad or inconsintint shell???
ive shot a couple flats of estates when i started shooting a couple years ago and have recently shot a box.. i just switched to shooting right handed.. long story.. haha but im still being affected by recoil.. i know its stupid but nothing i can do.. so i like kinda a soft load.. if anybody knows what im talking about.. so not really the gun clubs they have the hard wad and thoes things kick all around
thank you for the response!!!
If you are shooting 16's, the AA xtralites are hard to beat. Very light recoil and 1 oz loads pattern tighter than 1 1/8 oz so you'll see plenty of smoke if you do your part. IMO the fed papers aren't as light recoil as they use to be when the 12c1 wad was used.
I agree 100 percent! I like the AA Xtralites.. Shot first 25 with them.. Unfourtnally I think thoes are only likw 1080 and I will be shooting the state shoot where thw targets are cranked up a little so id like a faster load.... I know im pickey7!!
thanks guys i went and bought 5 flats of remington premier sts 1oz. #.8s. at 1185.. they mesed up and gave me one flat of sts 1.1/8 #8s at 1145 but thats alright to i guess.. oh well they were on sale!!!!
Been shooting ATA only a very short time compared to some out there. About 25 yrs. The very best shell by far is the Gold Medal Plastic Extra Lite 1 1/8 7 1/2. I have chrono'ed & patterned this factory load in many guns. Always did the job & when no other shell would pattern or shoot POI. Lowest recoil also. Paper of same DE & shot eq. MAY be slightly less. Will not speak to the performance at 27,never been there.
