Well we've covered all but the drummers.

Best technical drummer was buddy Rich and Neal Peart.

Best rock drummer was John Bonham and Keith Moon

What are you're choices

Neal Pert! No doubt about this whatsoever. He uses old school grips when he can and is a technical maniac. Forty years ago, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich and Sandy Nelson.

Ginger Baker, from Cream-Traffic. He was fully accomplished musically,(quote from Eric Clapton} he could write, compose, ect... He always said he was more of a jazz drummer than rock.

Moon and Bohnam agreed, they were not in his class.

Problem being, he was a very cranky addict!

Here are 2 that most have never heard of but have played with a lot of top names; From a technical perspective and unbelievable versatility not many better.
Simon Phillips and Marco Minneman. Give them a listen and see for yourselves.
