The Trap Special is a very light gun based on Beretta's old folding shotgun design with the opener just ahead of the trigger.
The Trap Special kicks like a mule.
The TR-1 and TR-2 Trap Specials are NOT a light gun. ....They are all 12ga and came out of the factory at approx 8-1/4 pounds, and all had 32" barrels with full-chokes.

The folding models ( FS-1, 412, & Companion) were 12, 20, 28, or .410 gauge, with 26", 28" or 30" barrels, and weighed 4-1/2 to 5-3/4 pounds.

Felt recoil is dependent on gun fit and size of the shooter.

Yes, the one I have is the TR-1 Trap Special. It has a pretty tight choke on it.
