Does anyone have any feedback shooting the Beretta SL2 12 gauge shotgun and, if so how did the shotgun perform. Some of stories that I have heard was that it’s just a newer model with an over exaggerated marketing ploy, while others say its performance is outstanding and a dream to shoot. Hopefully I will finally have a chance to shoot one soon.

No magic gun will break more targets than any other gun, and recoil has nothing to do with long forcing cones. If you like a $24,000 beretta that looks like a Batmobile, consider one. Other than that it’s just a gun like any other. Beretta said the DT11 delivered the best possible performance, recoil reduction, and downrange shot energy. 22” forcing cones, 18.6 bore, 4” long chokes. Now they’re saying the same about the SL2. 18” forcing cones, 18.4 bore, 6” chokes. It’s a scam.

I can't imagine Beretta ever over exaggerating any type of marketing.

But I do know that the super premium stellium pro barrels in the SL2 perform so well that they are basically cheating. I'm not going to buy an SL2 yet because I fear most clay shooting organizations are going to ban them and the price will plummet.
