Are the barrels for a 680 series and a 682 gold-E the same? I have a Gold-E sporting and was interested in a set of 20 ga barrels, but the barrels I have found so far just say they are for 680 guns. I was thinking that frame is narrower on the Gold-E. Any help?

If they are newly manufactured barrels, then all the 680 series 12ga frame barrels will fit on a 682E receiver. The 680 and some of the early 682 Silver receivers were made with a heavier frame. Barrels that were made to fit those receivers will still fit the newer narrower frames, but the barrel shoulders will be slightly wider than the frame. So, if you found say a 20ga skeet barrel that came from a 4 barrel set that was made on the 682 silver heavier frame, the barrel shoulders may be slightly wider than your narrower 682E frame.

If you want a set of 20 ga. barrels for the 12 ga. frame, call me. I have them here at the Silver Dollar. 30" blue.
