My buddy has a 682 Gold E, with trap high rib, but the stock is off a skeet or sporting model. He needs to find a Monte Carlo for it.
Will a Monte Carlo from any 68x fit it?
Yes. His Gold E will be a narrow frame, so if you put a wide frame stock on it it will be a little more proud at the cheeks than normal. You can even use a EELL stock, just fill in the sideplate cutouts with wood or epoxy.
John, skeet_man's answer is spot on. Any stock he gets, he will need to verify fitment before firing. Always a good bet to have it bedded to the receiver to prevent cracking from firing. This is something simple and of the norm so don't let it scare you if you haven't done it before. Good shooting, Rey
Thanks. He got the gun at a crazy low price, perhaps because it was pieced together.
