Is that the same Beretta that "improved the shell carrier" for the 12 gauge 391 so it wouldn't work, and shooters had to spend $40 to $70 to refit it with
the old style 390 carrier? That Beretta?

Draw your own conclusions about the "improved" piston.

In 12 gauge I shoot a 391 Urika Trap Optima (old style piston) and a 391 Urika 2 Sporting Optima (newer style piston) for skeet and sporting. I don't think one piston is cleaner than the other. I bought a spare piston back a few years ago when the talk around town was the old style were cracking. Mine never cracked but, I'm glad I have a spare. It works out great for cleaning.

Beretta Target Autos, the best target autos out there right now hands down. Vaporizers.
