Al posted his reloader for sale and i told him i would take it... He called when i was driving to work and told him i was not suppose to be on the phone while in company truck and i would call him later. I have called him almost everyday and he will not answer his phone and just this morning he sent me a txt message saying he sold it cuz i didnt have time to talk when he called.....some people do work for a living and i am on call 24/7 when i am on...

If you already said "I'll take it" HE should have been satisfied. He needed to just have apologized and called back later.

I got bone out of a few things because I have to work for a living also. Must be nice to surf the web and be on this site for half the day. You'll probably catch another so don't sweat it. Probably wasn't worth the price anyway.

If their that hard up to sell it and don't realize your working who wants to deal with them. He's not the only guy like, that plenty of them here.

I am not taking sides on this posters transaction, but I have learned a lot lately about men in this country. I have bought and sold things on this site over the last 10 years or so, and never gotten burned one way or another. I have even taken personal checks and they were all good.

Some of the other sites I post on seem to have a younger age base, still adults, but maybe 25 to 35 years old. Words like "I'LL TAKE IT" do not mean a thing. Neither does "I will mail the check out on Monday". "I'll be over in person after 6:00 Friday evening" actually means they will if they can't find anything else to do. "I will buy $100.00 worth" means hang onto the stuff until I save up $12.00 and request you sell me $25 worth for $12 because I have cash. I even agreed on a price of $36.00 for an item and the man mailed me a check for $33, saying that was "close enough", then he slandered my name as a cheap jerk because I sent his check back.

I was taught to keep my word. I once gave my word to buy a motorcycle windshield on Monday. I wrecked the bike on Saturday, but I kept my word and paid the man. These are the future adults that we need to count on to keep this country going. I am afraid for my grandchildren if this is what the next generation of men act like.

I wont stir with the stick but I bet if you place an add in here for what you are looking for you will find it quick. A number of fellow shooters in this forum are very good people and patient I have found that to be the majority.

I do see your point though. My job has some very strict policy and laws I have to abide by. My work falls under the same schedule yours does.

I think Leo hit it square on the head.

I will agree Leo has a good post-

I will also agree there is room for disagreement on this but how many people have heard as Leo describes an "I will take it" and it never happens

If you have a buyer waiting with cash- why should he wait on you- whether or not you have to work? Did you come to that agreement? That he would wait on you?

Most people- disregarding those 45s that Barrel Bulger sells on here dont really make any money on this stuff- they are just changing inventory and actually losing money.

Again, why drag this man who gave you a courtesy call's name through the mud?

It wasn't a courtesy call...he said he would take it. He told the guy he would call him back and he did. He held up his end of the deal and told him why he couldnt talk at the time. If you read enough of the posts on this site you'll see that some of these people have nothing to do but sit here, stare at the screen, and bitch about how everyone's stuff is junk except theirs.

Lets get the facts right- on the phone call(and we havent heard from the other party) the other party was trying to get enoough details out of this potential buyer that he felt he had a sale- that didnt happen

the potential buyer waited 3 hours at least (that by his own admission)

Well it was sold by then

Now as far as my politics- I am a republican- didnt vote for obama and dont plan on it

On the other hand, as distinct from all the non productive and defeatest crackpot mentaliites- I do believe he is the President of the United States of America

What about that $8000 dollar special operations 45 auto with the serial numbers ground off that you were selling-- I have asked you to clarify that and the only thing I remember is you claim a policeman gave it to you?

Or that krieghoff you knew wasnt a san remo but sold it as one to an unsuspecting person. I personally explained to you why it wasnt a san remo- that doesnt take into account the poor condition of the receiver I seem to remmeber but I might be wrong on that
