Karla Harrison just called and wanted me to make any potential buyers aware that her and Leo are not selling their Model 21.

Karla was hacked. Of course they live in Missouri and as I understand the thread originator was asking funds be sent to Montana.

Lotsa scams, for all anybody knows, the scammer is overseas and has a contact person somewhere in the states who thinks he or she is helping somebody legitimate, or somebody in on the scam.

Example, I've had my credit cards attempted to be used in scams...odd charges show up, e.g. for "personal products" purchased in the Midwest. I live in California. Cabelas credit card is very good, they catch things so fast and saved my pocketbook...pronto. Cabelas thought the charges and items were a bit "odd"...

And once I was looking for a difficult to find release trigger for a discontinued Ljutic. I was given a sales offer from London England...send funds by Western Union....yeah, sure.

We aren't certain who was trying to scam everyone, he/she tried to sell a gun, using my sign-on name, claiming I was selling it for a family member who needed the money for medical expenses. They tried to sell some barrels and a stock, also under my name. IF the scammer is from out of the country, either he is a shooter or has gotten help from a shooter. The private messgaes were way too detailed to be written by a non-shooting crook.

For all that trouble, heck I'd try and sell gold Rolex watches or Ferrari or Leica camera parts or Porsche parts!

I mean Dillinger robbed banks "'cause that's where the money is!"

Dillinger ended up dead in front of a movie theater....scammers understand that their "posts" must appear legitimate. Taking a couple folks for 2-3K each is a nice payday. Then they disappear. With all the blogs out there today these vermin are everywhere. Be careful when you buy, if it smells the least bit fishy...RUN!
