Two years ago I shot my first registered targets, last year due to work I did not shoot any registered at all. Last weekend I went on line and renewed my ATA membership. I'm sure it will be a while before I get my new card but do I need it to start shooting in a local clubs Big 50 shoots? I still have my old card so I know my number. I went to the ATA web site this morning and looked my number up and it still says my dues are unpaid.
So can I shoot or do I have to wait?

Thanks

You should have your copy of the ATA application from when you signed back up. That will be enough to shoot. I hope you still have it.

Lee, I'm sure they well let you shoot a Big-50 based on your old card and your word. When you think about there would be no reason for a shooter to shoot the Big-50 (and pay the $1 per day fee) if he were not a member. There's nothing to win, after all.

But I have a question about on-line renewal. Do you get an on-screen "receipt" you can print? Do you get a confirming email?

I did the same thing, only sent my check and renewl form in the mail.
Never heard a thing, may be they want our money and don't want us to shoot.
Hope it comes soon I want to get started. Butch H
