In conjunction with the ATA and NRA the Sparta Hunting and Fishing Club (Sparta, Michigan) just north of Grand Rapids, will be hosting a Trap Coach Certification School for the Scholastic Trap Shooting program. Class dates are March 28-29, 2009. A complete application can be downloaded from the ATA website or feel free to contact: Barry Anderson at: [email protected] for more information. Club membership is not required.

Information for the Sparta, Michigan, Trap Coach School is on both the AIM4ATA.com web site and shootata.com web site. We thank Barry for working hard to get the word out. You may attend any Coach School we offer in the country, but we invite Michigan coaches to take advantage to this one held in their own backyard ... coaches to lead their AIM teams to the State Shoot and on to the Grand!

These Coach Schools are great. I recommend them highly, and hope Michigan shooters take advantage of the opportunity.

Thanks to Tom Stewart for being the Local Contact for the Michigan Trap School in May 2007! To answer Bill's question, please visit shootata.com then click on the Coach School logo in the right hand column. A list of information will come up so click on "NRA/ATA Trap Coach Schools" and you will see a list of Coach Schools currently scheduled. Each flyer has a list of what is taught in the School. This is a comprehensive course which covers subject from Risk Management (so necessary in this litigious society) to Mental Management to field exercises to developing a youth trapshooting program. Read the list and contact me with your questions.
