I was on the ATA web site and noticed the gun club fund - does anybody know if this is a new fund? - and how much money is the ATA allocating for this project - This is a great idea!!!!

They were going to to call it the Executive Committees reinbursment fund but some (most people) didn't like that ... The ATA does not own a gun club anymore so who knows what the hell that could be ..? WPT ... (YAC) ...

Well Bill, if you took the time to go to the website and click on the link you would find quite a bit of information about this, so that you could know what the hell it could be.

To answer one of the OP's questions, it does not indicate how much money has been set aside for this program.

Gun Club Fund Application
ATA gun clubs are the grassroots for our Association. Most every angle within the ATA starts and ends with the success of our gun clubs. If they are not successful, the ATA is not successful. Therefore this grant is to help enhance the clubs and grant them funds needed to enrich our sport.
Who is eligible for the gun club grants?
Any Active ATA gun club may be eligible for a grant. Any club that threw registered targets within the current or previous target year is considered active.
Kinds of projects which will be funded:

A project refers to any type of activity the gun club is doing to try and promote or better ATA registered trapshooting at their gun club
o
The club might have a specific program they are trying to begin such as AIM

A project also refers to items the club may need to purchase in order for their club to operate more effectively
o
For instance the club may need to purchase automatic trap machines, new voice release systems, or new traps
o
The club may also have a need to invest in new computer equipment or might need to purchase new computer software
How gun club grant proposals are reviewed and decided:
All gun clubs will be given the opportunity to apply for this grant. The grant request forms will need to be completed by July 1st of every year. Then, the Gun Club Endowment Committee or C3 Committee will evaluate all proposals. At the Grand American, the winners of the grants will be announced. The clubs will be given the money by September 1 (start of the new target year). Then, by August 31 of the following year, all clubs must submit an update to just to keep the ATA and the Endowment Committee informed of how the funding assisted their club.

Do me a favor and keep me updated will you please ... We still never found out what happened with the things that were exposed about who was getting paid how much for what and what if anything is, was, or will be done about it ...
Thank you for the information, keep an eye on anything that has to do with money ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

iT'S ABOUT TIME THE ATA DID SOMETHING TO ASSIST AND HELP GROW THE GRASS ROOTS OPERATIONS OF THE SPORT. Good job whoever started this project. JRM
