Are Boresnakes really adequate?

I keep 2 bore snakes to finish cleaning my barrels. After cotton balls and brass brush gets things clean, the first 'dirty' bore snake goes through twice, then the 'clean' bore snake goes through twice and things are mirror clean after that. When the 'dirty' one gets too nasty it goes in the trash, the 'clean' becomes the 'dirty' and I open a new clean one. Decent tool, but they're the last 5% of my barrel cleaning.

If I run a bore snake through a barrel all by itself it just sort of uses up the bore snake faster than is necessary, and triple size cotton balls are more convenient than a wet bore snake.

I have 30,000 rounds through my Perugini and Visini, and I have never cleaned the bores. The gas seat in the chokes, yes. So far though, no chamber or bore cleaning. When I got the gun choked, I measured the bores to mark the actual constriction on my chokes. They were both .732. You know what they are after 30,000 rounds? .732. It still ejects hulls fine, and I can't find a single reason to bother cleaning the bores. That is just me, I expect there are other opinions as well. But those people are anal-retentive and clean the base boards in their house monthly.😂
anal-retentive
The proper and dignified phrase is meticulous or detail-oriented.
