What are the best mags to buy?

Magpul PMags, D&H, GI surplus if you want metal ones, Lancer if you want polymer with metal feed lips.

Magpul is good. Metal I've been using brownells with no problems.

Magpul or surplus military - I pay $10 for Magpul -but you need to dig for that price.

FINALLY bought an AR15. Its a new Colt Carbine of sorts. What are the best mags to buy? Or stick with Colt mags?

I have a Colt HBAR Sporter which is the only AR platform legal to own in NJ due to it’s place in the CMP. I’ve gathered a couple dozen 10-round D&H steels and never had any issues with them. Ain’t NJ great?

Another vote for Magpul P-mags. D&H for metal mags.

I think I'll throw it in the back of the gun safe with about 1000 rounds and forget about it for 5 years or so
