I've gotten emails from a number of you and thank you so much for your
concern about Norm Volponi.
Normey and I have known each other since 1969/1970.
He is truly one of a kind and remembers more trapshooters then most
of us have forgotten.
He is doing fine right now and is doing dialysis in Sonora 3 days a week
so far.
Please feel free to email or call me for updates.

Norm is great, feel like I've known him forever, but have only seen him four times at the State Shoot! Darn, another one of the good ones faces difficult challenges.

Norm is a true gentleman. I've known him since my first state shoot in 1982. He always has a smile and a great attitude. Best wishes Norm!

Oh, here is some trivia: David, Norm's son has a very intersting and colorful job when he is not working with his father. He is also a record holder at his profession. No, it is not professional skeet!!

Anybody know the answer to this one? David told me about it at the last Cal. State Shoot. It is impressive.

bb63: I remember those shoots at Martinez. Helped run them back in the late 80's and early 90's. Played Trivial Pursuit with Norm also! We must have hung out together????? Dave Pease's wife was the Easter Bunny (her name is on the tip of my tongue) and then Donna Pinkston took over, in later years. Boy, you brought back some great memories!

I remember David and the Stilts also. When they were really shorthanded, Norm would get his other son, Rocky and his daughter Gina to help!

I loved to play Hearts with Norm. That man has a memory for each card played. He knew what cards were still out and most times which hand they were in!

Damn, those were great times!

Thanks again, for the memories.

If this is shown to Norm, tell him that Gene Ricci still remembers him as a true friend. Get well soon and say hello to Jane also.

Prescott Gene (now in Dublin)
