[Seitz 555]

This looks to me, like wood from R J Anton, but there are no maple colored spacers between the Rosewood Cap and the Walnut Stock. Anyone ever seen this before, or is the stock maybe made by someone else ?

That seems to be typically Anton. I bet the customer selected the grip wood because of the contrasting color.
