Antique Glass Targets

I have a friend that has acquired an antique glass ball that was used many years ago for shotgun target shooting. Does anyone have any idea what something like this would be worth in today's market? He deals in antiques but has no knowledge or interest in things related to firearms. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure it is not a glass ball float used in Japan for fishing net floats. I have seen them at trade days for $1.00 each and up. There are more than one size of them. Ray
