Alliant - Clay Dot Claim

From the Alliant Website they make the following statement:

"Designed to duplicate the performance of Hodgdon® Clays™ at an economical price."

With a statement like that, wouldn't it stand to reason it would "duplicate" clays? So why, won't they provide a recipe for a 1200fps load like Hodgdon Clays provides? I asked them this directly as well.

I bought it as an add on to a primer order as clays wasn't available. I should have checked more closely, but relied on their "duplicate the performance" language plastered all over the product.

"Duplicate" is a no in my opinion. Do your own due diligence on this product.

Maybe you can load Clay Dot to those levels.....but why?

At 11,000 and 11,300 psi for your "preferred" Clays loading I sure would be looking at a different powder for that velocity and combination of components.
