Out at the club today and watched a gentleman shooting a 45 cal. air gun at 100 yard - unblievable accurate. With primmer and powder shortages could a air gun shotgun be a viable alterative?

Anything to keep cash flow going to keep the club in business is doable. Airgun shotgun? Dunno, but pellet gun league, indoor or outdoor? Covid safe swap meets?. Club benefit raffle or covid safe hotdog/hamburger bull sessions, maybe showing shooting videos?. Better the club have the money than some scammer get your money cause you're desperate for components. Improvise ideas.

Shoots a .4 ounce (170 gr) shot load (approx 117- #7 1/2 pellets) at around 1,000 fps.
$19.00 for 25 rounds of shot or $12.50 for the empty plastic capsules.
Filling up an air or co2 main supply tank runs 10-40 bucks at a welding or paintball shop depending on the size.
Cheaper to shoot 12 gauge.

From my view, that is about equivalent to a .410 and if it is a "double shot", DING DING DING, we have a winner for skeet shooting...

You haven't shot much .410 or skeet. This thing is totally worthless when it comes to anything shotgun.

Not a bad idea. A lot of guys would like an excuse to buy another gun.
The Silhouette shooting guys in our club kept the sport going with indoor Silhouette air pistol matches. They got proper targets and paperwork and all so it was a legit match. Parking lot full of cars, keeps people out of the tavern on cold snowy days.
