The offer is much appreciated but almost all of our youth shooters reload their own at home. Those that do not wish too are provided shells at cost from a local dealer. I'm sure your generous offer would be appreciated by someone though. Maybe someone on here would better be suited than us. Once again Thank You for the very kind offer.

this is from the SCTP 2011 official rule book

2. SHOT SHELLS – Reloads are ALLOWED for practices and competitions, provided they comply with the discipline?s NGB rule for payload weight and in some cases, velocity.

from the tennessee sctp handbook

11. Re-Loaded Ammunition is not allowed! New ammunition must be used at all
TNSCTP events. (This includes all team practices and club level competitions) This
is a safety and liability issue. Teams, squads, and coaches are subject to
disqualification and or expulsion from the program. No warnings will be given!

I did contact Karen, here is her reply.

"Reloads have always been allowed at all SCTP State and National American Style Championships.

Due to website changes, the SCTP Handbook should be back up shortly.

Any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Looks like only Tennessee has banned them, but even that contradicts what she wrote.

If they didn't allow the use of reloads, that would put an end to our SCTP program here in NW Ohio. All of our participants shoot primarily reloads, and the cost difference would be significant as much as they practice.

Just as stated above... Right from the 2010 SCTP Handbook.

SHOT SHELLS – Reloads are ALLOWED for practices and competitions, provided they comply with the discipline?s NGB rule for payload weight and in some cases, velocity.

States may enforce stricter rules. (I believe TN is one of those states.)
