Any advice on adjustable butt plate, do any of them provide adjustments for cast off? Can they be used for poi / poa adjustment? I may install it myself, if I hire it out what are the charges for installation?

I've installed the Braun on just about every trap gun I've owned. Hiring it out will vary depending on who does it. I would suggest @Tron probably going to be your best option and the quickest turnaround with perfect work. Installing one yourself isn't too complicated if you've got the right stuff. I use a scroll saw to remove most material and then a disk sander for fit and hand polish or paint to finish.

Any point of impact adjustment should really be made through your comb. An adjustable rib will allow you to get your preferred sight picture. Adjusting the pad may alter it somewhat but not much and is really designed for fit above all else.

How is it that moving the butt of the stock around on your shoulder somewhat will change POI or cast? POI will only change when you change the relationship of your eye to the rib. If you move that butt around one way or the other will your head not come to the stock wherever it now is placed? Granted, all stock fit variables are connected. But the best way to change POI is to add/remove wood (or move the comb wood around with adj comb) up/down/right/left. Once you have that relationship where you want it and your mount is natural the adj butt plate is a good tool to get the butt located to the shoulder pocket optimally to absorb recoil and make your mount consistent and repeatable.

Tron put one on for me couple months ago. He does good work in a timely manner at a reasonable cost.

There are several pad adjusters out there that will move any way you want them. No they can’t be used for poi adjustment. Only changing the comb and or rib affects that. Pad adjustment is to adjust gun fit.

DooFighter is correct. Recoil pad adjustment is for fit including some cant ( Morgan pad is the least expensive and works great up/down small amount of left or right plus some cant). Countercoil, Gracoil and others are more expensive and generally you will have to send stock to have installed. Comb adjustment will raise or lower, left or right for POI. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Only if it moves your eye with respect to the rib. If it does your mount has changed. I would respectfully disagree with you.
I generally agree with you, but.....
If your head position on the Stock is an adaptation to a poor mount, canted gun, head crawling and other contortions. Creating the best shoulder to pad/stock interface. The simple predictable consistency has the potential to change POI, STRETCHING the point of what the adjustable pad mount is ment to do. But with good fit, things change.

If you install one of these adjustable pads like the SPS Braun can you use your same butt pad, looking at these plates they increase LOP 5/16 to 3/8 of an inch which I can handle with trigger adjustments. I hold my gun high on my shoulder and would like to add the adjuster to lower butt plate into shoulder. My plan to shape the plates is to make a wood template and screw plates to it for fitting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I always replace the pad using a Microcell from Hastings Dist. Get the thin one and it won't change LOP.
Here's a link >>> Microcell Ultra-Light Recoil Pad - 23mm (.91") Thick - Black
These pads are my favorite and super easy to grind. I know of a few people that do not grid both plates of the adjuster, leaving the one the pad mounts to it's original size which allows the pad to be put on without grinding. This also gives a larger surface area to mount with. I prefer to grind and fit everything but up to you....

Wad, how close is the fit of the microcell to the sps braun plate if one chooses to only fit the plate to the stock? Thanks.
