Recently purchased a citori configured with a 32” barrel, adjustable comb and a slightly raised rib with the intent to only shoot bunker trap.. later to find out the standard for that discipline is a 29-30” barrel to swing the gun as quick as possible (live and learn).
I don’t plan on purchasing another one for a while. The citori weighs 8lb 12oz and from what I’ve gathered, gun fit + mount and gun balance is key. Too heavy of a barrel will slow the swing speed and too much weight in the stock will make the gun swing more erratic. With this logic, would it make sense to over weight the stock so i can swing the gun quicker for bunker trap OR would it be a better idea to balance the gun, practice a lot and make due with what I have?
I held the gun and didnt think it was heavy at all. Is there anyone here that shoots bunker trap well with a 32?
