Dan - Remove the large nut that has a screwdriver slot in it, at the floor of the forearm iron. Then loosen the small screw in the front of the forearm iron, but be sure and count the number of turns you make on loosening the small screw. At this point the iron should come out of the wood. When reassembling, do not over tighten the front small screw. That is why I cautioned you to count the turns. On reassembly, you will have to juggle the outside forearm latch with the wood, and the peg that the nut fits on.
It's really easier than it sounds. When disassembling, notice each item as it comes loose and is removed so you will know how it all interfaces on reassembly.
