Taking the stock off of a Beretta 303 for the first time. Will something work to remove the nut in the narrow stock hole other than a special stock wrench? Other hints on the process here? Replacing the recoil spring. Thanks!

I remove mine with a deep Craftsman 3/8" drive socket on an extension with a T handle. There is not a lot of clearance around the socket but it works.

I'll have to try redhawk's suggestion of a deep 1/4" drive - might be more clearance with that thinner socket.

Thin walled 3/4” socket. Go to the lathe and turn one down if it’s got too much meat on it- or a pocket knife to whittle wood out to get your socket in.
