I have been loading 28ga with Long Shot powder. I left some of it in my acrylic powder tube and the powder ate into the acrylic, thus ruining the powder tube on my loader. Anyone have any suggestions for a very good 28ga powder?
Of course the problem was not the powder, but rather, leaving in the powder reservoir when it should have been returned to its storage container. All powders will discolor the powder reservoir if left in.
I've never been able to improve on what Winchester used in their sub-gauge factory AA target loads: WSF in the 20 gauge, 540 (HS-6) in the 28 and 296 in the 410.
Yea.. Well Wayne Mays doesn't shoot 50 plus yards and I do. HS-6 doesn't pattern as tite as Unique does at 45 yards. At skeet range it makes no diffrence but at long range you need a tite core which Unique does better then any other i have patterend. I have loaded 20/28 as well as longshot and neither put as many pellets in a 30 inch circle as Unique.
If you do not shoot over 30 yards it makes no diffrence.
