What is the best 20 ga load using a waa20 wad needs not to have alot of re coil its for a kid? Thanks Dusty

14gr. of Green Dot and 3/4oz. of shot with no wad pressure.
I have shot many thousands of these at skeet and for teaching kids to shoot.
Very little recoil.
My main "go-to" 7/8oz. load is 15gr of Unique with the AA wad or copy and or the old Rem. power piston wad.
These loads are low pressure and any primer will work for AA or Rem. STS or Gun Club hulls.
The Gun Clubs seem to load best with the 3/4 oz. load.

Universal Clays and 20/28 are great powders there are a lot of loads for them. I shoot 20 ga. autos and sense no recoil. But that said I'm not a small framed guy.

Green Dot is a great powder for 3/4 oz 20 gauge loads. Depending on if you need to cycle a semi auto, load it down as low as you want to reduce velocity and recoil. I load some around 12 grains of Green Dot for around 1100 fps. They are a little dirty, but very light shooters for the little guys. If you are getting a too dished crimp, get some ClayBuster 3/4 oz wads, or throw a Cheerio in on top of the shot. Mark
