Anyone have a 3/4 oz load for the STS or HSAA hull that will crimp good.

I have very good luck with the following load:


Load is from Alliant Guide

STS Hull
16 grains of Herco
7/8 oz 20 ga Orange Duster Wad
WW 209
3/4 oz of 9's or 8.5's Shot

Crimps great I do not make any adjustment from my regular load. My grandson loves it nice and lite recoil and breaks Skeet targets as good as any 7/8 oz load.

Also, 16 gr Universal Clays or Unique, WAA20 or clone wad, 3/4 oz of your favorite sized shot. I used this load in the 20 the last 15 years or so that I shot four gauge Skeet. I could not tell the difference in the breaks.

Shooting Coach, where did you find that data??? I looked on Hod's website and only found data with International Clays powder for 3/4 oz loads!!! And that was 12 to 13 grains!!! I only use 15.5 grains of Universal in a full 7/8 oz load @ 1,200 fps. Just how fast is your load and at what chamber pressure??? Break-em all. Jeff

This is what I have been using:

Shot: #8
Wt: 3/4
Hull: WAAHS
Wad: WAA20
Powder: International
Wt: 12.5 gr.
Primer: W209/NS209
Velocity: 1180

Key is to use the OEM WAA20 wad, not the CB clone.
