RE: any rough idea what the expected attendance might be?

No.....

I live in NY and shoot at the L'Acadie club a couple times a month. Presently in snowbird status and not on top of what level of interest they are receiving.

As a side note: I post shoot flyers for my region as received on my websites, and on various talk boards if I think they may have more then local interest.

I spoke with Jim Wood today. He is the President of the Canadian Trapshooters Association. He said that they are hoping for 250 shooters. It has been around 35 years since the Canadian Championships were held in Quebec. Quebecers are well known to be great hosts. There should be a good number of Ontario shooters in attendance. If you have not visited the club or have not shot in Quebec and/or Canada, I posted information about the club a few years back that pretty much covers many questions that many would have in regard to club location, area motels, and for those visiting from the USA, border crossing information.

Please direct questions about the shoot itself to those listed in the shoot program.

* The clubs annual Olympic Bunker Trap (3 bunkers) shoot was attended by about 50 shooters last year, many from the states.

The program states that all shooters must have a current PAL ?

This requirement is somewhat different than the instructions you give on lost target website for u.s. Citizens entering Canada with long gun ?

I am confused, has something changed or am I miss reading?

RE: for u.s. Citizens entering Canada

PAL not required for those from outside of Canada.

* I see that statement about a valid PAL from time to time on Canadian websites. They forget about visitors from other countries.

You will need the Nonresident Firearm Declaration!

Processed at any Canadian crossing on day of travel.
