2013 SHOT SHOW-Who

I just wanted to check to see who was attending the 2013 in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks.
If you get there stop on the lower level to Booth #3106 for a free silicone gun cloth.

I'm not going, but I have gone many times in the past. I have one comment for those who have never been there.

The SHOT show is as close as you will get to heaven without dying.

Not necessary for those of you who have been there before, but for the first timer:

Wear the most comfortable shoes you own.

Carry as little as possible, preferably nothing.

Resist taking every catalog and sample you're offered. You'll be carrying that stuff around all day.

Be organized. Know where the exhibitors are that you really want to see. Don't just wander around aimlessly.

It will be a long day, probably two days, and you will be worn out - but happy.

See you there #3106.

Just confirmed my complimentary room from Wynn, I'm canceling my booking with Venetian now, guess I'll be walking cross Sands Ave to the show instead of taking the elevator down then. :)

I have been to every SHOT SHOW and I echo the comments above. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES!
Go to the Shot Show Website to get the floor plan and plan out the exhibitors you want to see. If you have a particular company that you NEED to speak with, call them and get the Rep's name for your territory and try to get contact info so you can make an appointment before the show.

One suggestion is that the smaller and newer companies are usually located on the lower level. This part of the show is usually less traveled on the first day. The Big guys on the upper floor will all be there until closing time but they will be mobbed the first day. It is less crowded on the lower level and easier to "work"

Take a wheeled cart to put any literature that you pick up in to pull around and not try to carry around.
Use the UPS Shippoint to mial a daily box back to you shop. It's easier than trying to stuff 200 pounds in your suitcase!

Go To the Perazzi booth as it is about the only time you see Dan Bonillas in a tie!!!!!!!!!!

The atmosphere will be very different with all the impending legislation around gun control etc. I love the shotshow, havent been for 10 years - really used to enjoy it.

I don't recall the ATA having a booth, but a number of the EC used to attend. I know the ATA did have a booth at several NRA Shows.

The SSSF which now runs the SCTP program usually has a booth.

A booth at the SHOT show would seem like a great way to promote the ATA. When the EC guys did attend was that on their dime or the ATA?

What are the dates? I'd like to attend schedule permitting. I have never been to Vegas so that will be an experience if I can go.
