What Jimmy means, Cole, is that there is no calcutta at the Grand. The ATA doesn't condone such activities -- says so right in the Rule Book (at least it used to).

Nope. No "special event." There are the usual other options: 25s, 50s, Lewis, yardage purse, jackpot purse, etc. But no SE. There was also added money. $1,400 to the Champion down to $200 for 14th through 20th place.

Still, a lone score at the top could pull in around $20 - 30k. Provided they played all the options, of course.

If the Grand had a calcutta the Lawyers would be the only ones making money. What a can of worms that would open up. Allen

You can ask Neil but I think the ATA could care less if you had a Calcutta but they they can't have one,don't need the Feds knocking on there door.

I think it's usually the venue that has a problem with gambling. Most often violates state gaming laws...
