Looking to try out some 20/28 powder for 20ga reloads. Is there a suggested powder bushing chart for this powder? Looking for a ball park starting bushing that I can work up from.
Was going to use some WSF but with the bushings I have it I get either 16.5gr or 17.2gr, when I need a 17gr.

You need to do better than this. What brand reloader are you using? And is your scale balance beam or digital?

Ponsness 800+ & Ponsness 375 presses and RCBS Digital scale.

I use both Ponsness bushings and MEC bushings with an adapter.

Using WSF, I get 16.5 gr with the #17 MEC Bushing and 17.2 gr with the #18 MEC Bushing. Looking for 17.0gr. Any suggestions?
Ponsness D1 bushing throws 17.2 gr of WSF

20/28 is good for 20 gauge and you should try it. Bushing chart posted above should get you started. It is unusual for a bushing to drop exactly the amount of powder called for in the loading manual. You are most always going to drop a little more or less. And unless you are pulling shells from a loading sequence and checking and averaging weights from a few shells spaced out over the session you really do not know how much powder the bushing is dropping.

The magazine like printed Hogdon reloading guides have good bushing charts in the reference section.

Your reloader isn't going to consistently throw the exact amount of powder each time. Like someone else already said, the 17.2 would serve you well.

I use 20/28 for both 28 gauge and 20 gauge. Great powder. I’ve loaded 3/4 OZ 20 gauge as well. I still like the 28 gauge 3/4 OZ for skeet, it smokes targets if you do your part.

MEC #20 bushing drops 15.5 and #21 drops 16.2 of 20/28 powder on a 8567 grabber mec loader for 20ga 7/8oz loads.
#19 drops 14.8 of 20/28 when I load 3/4oz 20ga loads
FWIW: #16 bushing drops 13.0 of 20/28 on a mec 8567 grabber for my 28ga reloads.
Components are all AA hulls, Win primers, #8.5 shot and CB wads.
