I am of need of a new stock for my 1100 12 ga field circa 1975. Remington has some stocks on close out for the 11-87 and 1100 Competition. Anyone know if these stocks will fit my 1100 field?

yes they will also 870 stocks will work stay with wood and they should all work.

1187 buttstocks will directly interchange with 1100 buttstocks.

In order to use an 870 buttstock on an 1100, the answer is two-fold...

Older 870 buttstocks will need to have the hole enlargened where it meets the receiver. Then it will require a plastic or metal pipe to stand off the washer and nut that goes on the end of the recoil spring tube.

Newer 870 buttstocks are of a modified pattern so they can be used on both 870's (with a special bolt) or directly on an 1100 (or 1187).
