Hi All,
Have been seeing some postings regarding shooting and lead exposure hazards. Any thoughts or information on this topic?

Thanks
Where are you seeing these "postings?"

At any rate, I've read that scientists are warning about the dangers of eating lead split shot and sinkers. Lead head jigs are even worse as the hook can stick in your throat.

many years ago i cast and shot several thousand lead bullets out of rifles and handguns. after several years of this i had my blood tested for lead poisoning. it was normal. so reloding and shooting is not harmful.
I thought you interesting behavior was associated to Mad Hatter's disease. I guess not then.

I grew up casting bullets in a well sealed house in Anchorage Alaska. Used to cast in the living room in the winter with the whole house shut up.

Unless you inhale the lead or ingest it, it won't do a thing to you.
If you just melt lead and the minimum melting temperature you don't release toxic fumes. Get it too hot and you do.
