Received this email from SIAI on 9/28:
"Your insurance coverage for your firearms is expiring in October. T.H.E. Insurance Company is no longer interested in insuring any firearms, prohibiting us from renewing any coverage at this time. We are doing everything that we can to rectify this situation in a timely manor. But until then, we are not able to provide you with insurance coverage for your firearms."

Looking for recommendations for other insurance providers who specialize in firearms insurance.

Thanks

I just got off the phone with Sportsman Insurance company (SIAI). They told me that the carrier they were using is no longer interested in covering firearms. For the people that have policies set to renew in September & October they received the letter. They hope to have the issue resolved shortly, but mine is supposed to be renewed in late November. I’m probably going to make the switch to Gun & Trophy.

I received an email over the weekend that SIAI (Sportsman's Insurance) is no longer insuring guns.

Do you folks have any recommendations on another vendor?
I just talked to Sharon at SIAI about my coverage for sending guns out for repair. She gave me a thumbs up about the coverage and reminded me my renewal date is the first part of December.

I signed up on line about a month ago. I didn’t receive any coverage confirmation via email or letter. Is this common?
Larry or Cole will send you a copy of your rider and policy and a full statement of any declared value. They do that when you update as well. Call or shoot an email. They are very responsive.

Confirmation order (policy/certificate) along with paid receipt sent in 10 seconds from hitting pay now to your email address. Emails sent from my son Cole at GunandTrophy/Cushman Insurance Agency, Inc. Check email and junk email. Let us know and we can resend if necessary.

I hope to never have to file a claim, but I am confident Gun and Trophy will take care of me if needed. I decided years ago I would never use Sportsmans when I questioned them about how they replace guns. Go with Larry Cushman
