Does it bother you what so ever? I am a recent left handed convert and wasn’t really concerned with a right handed ejection until someone had mentioned a shell going off without being fully seated in the bore. That would be right in my face :(. Albeit it’s super rare for anything like that to happen but is it worth the chance lol

Just make sure you’re wearing glasses. I’m right handed so nothing really flies in front of my eyes but I have had flames come out the ejection port and it’s nothing I would want right in front of my eyes. Seems to be more prevalent in cold weather. Thank God I live in sunny S. FL. Good shooting and welcome to the forum, Rey

If things go bad, that tomahawk shaped piece of steel is coming right toward your face if it detaches from the receiver.

There is DEFINITELY an extra inherent danger to shooting an autoloader off-handed, that's indisputable. Now what that level of danger is could be up for debate and depend on your risk tolerance.

Also, gas and particles are more likely to get in your eyes, even with glasses, shooting off handed.

With the HUGE variety of LH autos available today, there's little reason to not buy the correct tool for the job.

Price and availability is an issue. They don’t make the a400 xcel in a left handed version. Some fabarms are. But most are not offered as left models and simply rely on shims to move the stock for each handed shooter.

You guys that are commenting run out and buy a left handed gun are probably right handed. If so, you have no clue what it’s like to live in a right handed world. I’m quite a gun trader, shooter, and hunter. In all my years, I rarely saw left handed guns. They don’t grow on trees. I had to learn to shoot right handed guns of all shapes and sizes. Never an issue. As far as a blowup? Never seen one in person. If you are worried about getting hurt, don’t shoot a gun, don’t drive a car or get on an airplane. Odds are pretty low that gun is gonna hurt you. Guess I shouldn’t be ranting but I detest advice from people unless they have been there. If any of you are left handed or have personal experience then I apologize. Otherwise my comments stand.

They make the Xplor in a LH gun though. I'd rather have a 28" gun with the correct ejection than a 30" one without. Every fabarm that's been offered in RH has been offered in a LH version as well.
Yes the fabarms do offer left handed versions but are above my price range new and seldom come up used

There is reasons they make Left hand guns in pumps and gas guns . That picture should tell you why .!! Living with out a eye is not cheap or easy .... Find what you need and pay the dollars or go to a single or o/u .
More manufacturers need to adopt left handed options. Not all guns are made left. A400 xcel for example

I've shot LH since I was 8 yrs old with a 22. My uncle spotted me leaning my head over the stock to line up as I'm right handed. Thankfully he noticed it. In my early years shooting trap, I used RH guns as that was all that was available where I was located. I would get hot powder residue occasionally in my eyes but never anything serious. Not I shoot a LH gun for all disciplines. No point in taking a chance. However my upland bird gun is a Remington 1100 28 ga with the 25.5 inch barrel. Modified choke. 1 oz Winchester factory ammo. Good to 40 yards.

Turning 80 this year and have been shooting for about 65 years as a lefty with right handed firearms. Except while I was in the Marines, as they don't recognize people being left handed, learned to shoot my M14 right handed with a patch over my left eye, still got expert, but continued shooting left handed after getting out.
Over the years I've been privileged to find and afford a few true left handed firearms, Have a nice LH Remington 700 BDL in 270, a LH Browning SS in 7mm08, and a custom made LH MRC in 358.
Shotgun wise I started shooting trap with a LH Model 1100, then found out O/U's were great LH guns with just a change in the stock, was able to have a Kolar made from scratch in a LH Model, (stock, palm swell, trigger and adjustable comb), last year I found a LH 870 TC Wingmaster.
Left handed rifles and shotguns are out there, ya just have to keep looking. Sometimes the prices are pretty good as the market for Lefties is small.

I own a left handed 1100. I have a terrible time getting used to it. I have just always shot right handed semi autos. I'm a one eyed shooter and I close my right eye so I don't really have any issues.
