Years ago, I had trouble finding a left hand shirt, sooooooo my wife being handy with the sewing machine, fashioned a pad that was tapered to fit the shape my chest. I attached adhesive Velcro hooks to it all four sides.

I can wear any shirt, long or short sleeve appropriate for the weather and place the pad inside my shirt and the Velcro hooks grab and hold onto the material of the pad. I had my wife make the pad long enough I can place it pass the shirt seam towards my back and clear the toe of the gun butt pad. It stays in place and does not slip.

I have also used Velcro with gel pads that normally slip into a shooting vest. The large ones once sold by Beretta are excellent. it is inexpensive, but effective. I can wear a different shirt everyday and make it a shooting shirt with a pad with adhesive Velcro hooks.

I've shot with Sue and Terry Fischer for 30 years. As shooters, they put forward a quality product designed by shooters. She also can do inserts for Shockeater pads.
Good people and great apparel. Top notch service.... only problem is Sue is too busy sewing to go shooting..... she is a heck of a cook too. And don't challenge her to pistol shoot... former IPSC shooters.

Pine Tree is super easy to deal with. She'll even put a pad in a favorite shirt that you already have, but want to use it for shooting. I sent her a L/S NRA logo shirt and it was no problem at a great price.

I've been using padded shooting shirts for several years from Home - Pine Tree Custom Sportswear and have been very pleased. Long and short sleeved shirts in several fabrics and variety of colors. Good customer service and fast shipping as well and reasonably priced.
these shirts look excellent! And they have a ladies section. Definitely going to order a few for my husband and I.

I have seen a recoil pad that fits like a shoulder holster so it would work with any shirt you choose. Pretty sure I have seen them on Amazon

I use Embroidery by Betty. You can mail her the shirt of your choice and she will add the pad of your choice and return it to you. She is located in Macomb, IL. It's been a couple of years since I have used her service but prices were very reasonable.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered a couple from Pine Tree When they found out about my recent heart surgery they said they are going to put extra length padding in the shirts. . Real Nice lady on the phone. Looking forward to getting the shirts.

I chatted with Terry yesterday, he was very appreciative of the comments and said there has been an uptick of orders connected with "Trapshooters.com". The bad news is Sue will be making shirts and Terry will be shipping Saturday instead of shooting five stand with me.......

You will be impressed how fast you get your order and with the quality. They are great people and run their business the right way. Now after all these good words I gotta see a shirtmaker about an apple pie... :)

Sue makes shooting towels with a pouch in it for ear plugs that is pretty neat also. Mine has my name on it.....
