My son-in-law has an Oryx hunt at the end of January down at White Sands, NM. He is shooting a Browning X Bolt in 300 WSM. 300 WSM Ammo is scarce around here so I am going to order him some. Is the Barnes VOR-TX 300 WSM 165gr. TTSX BT a good bullet for Oryx?

Just a follow up to my son-in-laws oryx hunt. He used the Barnes 165 grain TTSX as stated earlier. Since a picture is worth a thousand words:

Congratulations!! That is a great hunt. I remember my hunt like it was yesterday. Lots of great memories for sure.
Just weighed the bullet. It retained 146 grains from the original 165. The Barnes factory ammo ended up costing 80 bucks a box, but I'd have to say it was worth it.

recovered this bullet today from where we gutted my sons buck. I knew it was in the stomach. 275 when it started. 274.7 from a 450bm
I'll be hunting an Oryx in 2025. I can't wait!
